Free Discovery Park Beach Shuttle Runs Thursdays–Sundays Through November

A yellow school bus with its stop sign extended waits at Discovery Park while several people in casual clothing stand nearby on a sunny day with trees and water visible in the background.

The Discovery Park Beach Shuttle is operating for the first time this fall with expanded days for the 2026 season. The free shuttle runs Thursdays through Sundays from September 10 through November 1, from 11 AM to 5 PM, looping between the East, North, and South Beach parking lots with arrivals at each stop approximately every 45 minutes. The final departure from the beach is 4:45 PM.

The shuttle accommodates people, service animals, and strollers. Pets, coolers, surfboards, paddleboards, and other large items are not permitted.

Seattle Parks thanks Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center for providing the bus and driver this fall. The Discovery Park Visitor Center remains closed due to flood damage, but a staffed information booth will operate Saturdays and Sundays, 9 AM to 5 PM, September 12–November 1, based on staff availability.
