1) Tell us about your organization in a nutshell?
k.mae studio is a commercial photography service specializing in food and people. Our studio is located in lower Queen Anne.
2) How long has your organization been a member of Queen Anne Chamber of Commerce?
Since January 2016. My family and I moved from Dallas, Texas, to Seattle in fall of 2013. I was busy with small children, and it took a while to restart my business. When I was ready to do so and wanted to network with other businesses in the city, I reached out to the Chamber’s executive director, Charley Shore, to learn more about the organization and how I could get involved. She guided me to connect with other businesses, which led to opportunities to exhibit my fine art photographs.
3) How long is your organization in QA community and how does your organization get involved in the community?
I am now a board member of Queen Anne Chamber of Commerce, which for a long time has helped support small businesses in the Queen Anne neighborhood. Some of the board members have been in the organization for more than a decade, dedicating their time and effort to keep Queen Anne a great place to live and do business. My studio has also provided photography services to the wonderful Queen Anne Famers Market and John Hay Elementary School.
4) Any information that you would like to share via Queen Anne Chamber’s community (ex. upcoming events, announcements).
Virtual Happy Hour – August 19th
k.mae studio is hosting a virtual happy hour on August 19th at 5:30PM! I’ll be sharing a quick tutorial how to take good social media photos with your smart phone to support your business. I hope to see you there.
