Featuring Macqueen Hotel for November Member Spotlight.

Tell us about your business in a nutshell?

We are a Historic Property – Originally Owned by Henry Ford.

Built in 1918 as the Seattle Engineering School, the MarQueen Hotel was originally used to retrain blacksmiths to work at the Ford assembly plant on Lake Union, to build the Model T Car – Nickname is the Tin Lizzie which is how our Speakeasy got the name "The Tin Lizzie Lounge"

How long has your business been a member of Queen Anne Chamber of Commerce?

We have been a member in the past for many years prior and are happy to reunite with the QACC this past summer 2019.

How long is your business in QA community and how does your business get involved in the community?

Our historic property is over 100 years old and was transformed into a Hotel 20 years ago. The Tin Lizzie Lounge opened 10 years ago and, in the Spring, broke out a brand-new menu this summer and we were participated in The Alley Local Restaurant Showcase benefit for Food Lifeline - Bite of Seattle on July 19th2019.

Any information that you would like to share via Queen Anne Chamber's community (ex. upcoming events, announcements).

We were recently invited to attend The Downton Abbey movie premier back in September and in celebration Isaac Vicknair from our very own Tin Lizzie Lounge was on K5 to show you how to mix the perfect period-correct cocktails from the Official Downton Abbey Cocktail Book:

  • New York Sour (non-alcoholic)
