Seattle City Light Review Panel on Rate Increase

The Seattle City Light Review Panel and Seattle City Light General Manager Debra Smith are pleased to present the Initial Report to Seattle City Council on Rate Design requested by the Council in Resolution 31819 (adopted July 9, 2018).
The initial report details work completed to date, including:

  • The results of two public engagement sessions on rate design convened in October 2018.
  • A comparative study of rate design at similar utilities, conducted by a third-party rate design expert.
  • Draft rate design policy goals and a draft summary of potential options for achieving those goals.

If you are interested in presenting comments on the initial report to the Review Panel on February 26, please RSVP to SCL_CLRPquestions@seattle.gov. Each organization will be allowed five minutes to provide input.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 26 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at 901 Fifth Avenue, Seattle, WA 98164 in the Seattle City Light Training Room (Suite 1930) located on the 19th floor of the building.
